HOW TO GET GLOWING SKIN WITH FACIAL MASSAGES

Do you want to get glowing skin? Then facial massages is for sure something to look into! This can help your skin to look more young, plump and glowing! 💕✨

If you want to get more glowing skin, then your skin needs a good blood circulation. You can get that through several different ways – such as giving yourself a face massage with your bare hands, or you can also use tools such as fx a Gua Sha or a Glow Roller (like the one on the picture).

By massaging your skin it increases blood circulation, and it is through our blood that the skin gets the nutrients it needs. This also stimulates the collagen production, which is what helps your skin to looking young and plump. Using a gua sha or glow roller also helps to stimulate the lymphatic system, and by giving gentle strokes up around your neck you’ll give yourself a lymphatic drainage massage.

Your lymphatic system gets rid of toxins, so this is also really good to help remove toxins from your skin.

Regular face massages can help your skin to looking young, plump, prevent fine lines and wrinkles and give you that healthy looking glow! It’s a natural way to enhance your own beauty – and I absolutely love it + it’s such a relaxing and calming practice.

I have started using my Glow Roller every morning. First I do a little morning meditation, often with focus on positive affirmations, then I write down my gratitude list in my Fiveminutejournal and then I spend 2-5 minutes ‘rolling’ my skin with the Glow Roller (I use mix of jojoba and rosehip oil on my skin when doing it) – and of course I have my daily cup of Green Tea along with this little morning practice 💕✨

But of course, since we’re all about Holistic Health in here, I have to mention that just giving yourself face massages isn’t going to magical transform your skin – you also need to look at the things you put into your body (food, water), your stress levels, if you’re moving your body and speaking kindly and lovingly to yourself.

If you’ve ever had problematic skin, whether it be sensitive skin, eczema or acne or something else, you know the struggle. I’ve suffered with it for sure, and have done lots of trial and error and researched about the best ways to get healthy, glowing skin and I want to share those tips with you today 🥑🥑🥑✨

Healthy, Glowing Skin Tips

Probiotics
If you haven’t already stumbled upon ‘probiotics’, then this can for sure do wonders for you skin and your overall health. Probiotics are good bacteria. Nowadays with processed food, junk food, fast food, sugar etc. lots of us have an overgrowth of bad bacteria in our gut. In order to be healthy and thriving, you need more of the good bacteria. These you can get through fermented foods (sauerkraut, kimchi, kombucha, yoghurt, etc.), or you can also take a probiotic supplement.

Eat More Vegetables
Food is medicine. Eat a variety of vegetables, and fruits, and eat plenty of them. Veggies in different colours contain different vitamins and nutrients, and all of these different vitamins and nutrients improves different functions in the body – so eat the rainbow!
If you find it hard to get enough vegetables in during the day, you can also try to add a smoothie to your daily diet. Fx a green one or an antioxidant-rich one!

Healthy Fats
Healthy fats can do wonders for your skin health. Healthy fats are essential for the health of our cells, and can really ‘smoothen’ the skin from within.
Healthy fats are from sources such as avocados, nuts, seeds, olive oil, coconut oil.


Reduce Intake of Sugar & Processed Foods
As we talked about probiotic, we already covered this part a bit. But eating too much sugar and processed foods will create an overgrowth of the bad bacteria in our gut, this can lead to inflammation in the body, which can not only lead to bad skin and breakouts, but also to more severe issues such as joint pains and the development of several diseases. So by all means, try not to indulge in these things too much, but rather go for a whole food diet.


Move Your Body
Moving your body not only releases endorphins, which is a ‘happy hormone’ that makes you feel good, it can also make you sweat which helps to get rid of toxins from the body, and it moves your lymphatic system, which also helps to get rid of toxins and creates a better blood flow and circulation, which can lead to more vibrant & healthy looking skin.

Enjoy & Love Life
Last, but definitely not least, one of the best things you can do for your health and the health of your skin is to enjoy and love life, and do more of what makes you happy! Smiling, laughing, hugging, having fun, following your passions etc. it all brings a healthy glow to your skin.
