Sometimes we do not follow our passions, our hearts, we don’t spend money on that certain book or course that sparks our interest, and we’re thereby inhibiting our own growth potential. So today I want to ask you; do you give yourself room to grow? 🌿🌿
Back in April I shared an Instagram post about how I was going to repot my plant, because it wanted to grow bigger – but it couldn’t because of the pot that it was in was too small. I wrote about how it’s important to give room for plants – and ourselves – to grow bigger; invest in yourself, take a course, go travel, move, get a new job etc. that will help you grow, because if you don’t give yourself room to grow and the space and capacity to do so, you will not be able to reach new heights.
The beautiful thing is that that little plant that you see in the picture above, is now this new plant that you can see in the picture below:
Isn’t that just beautiful?
And I truly feel like, just like the plant has grown over the past few months – I have as well.
I had been wanting to take the Holistic Health Coach education for years, but hadn’t truly “allowed” myself to do so – until Summer last year, where I finally signed up for it – and I can’t even begin to describe my own growth and transformation over this past year. It has been full of ups and downs, but I’ve reached new heights that I would never have had, if I hadn’t followed my own heart and passion and decided to sign up for the program.
So hereby just a little reminder for you – to follow those small nudges, your intuition when it’s telling you to buy a certain book, invest in a course, go to a certain place etc. – follow your heart, and remember to give yourself permission to GROW! 🌿✨✨
Do you ever allow yourself to dream big? To envision your future just as you would like it to be? If not, now is the time. Time to visualise your future self. Grab your pen and paper, make yourself a nice cup of tea, and fill out these questions ☕️✨
“We tend to overestimate what we can do in a day, and underestimate what we can do in a year” – unknown
Here are some questions I would like for you to answer for yourself. I personally love this exercise – as it helps to remind you, that you might not be able to accomplish much in the next week or month – but if you keep taking action and move in the right direction, you can reach SO much within the next 6 months, year or the next 5 years
Allow yourself to dream big, set actionable steps and just take one step at a time – and then the next, and the next and so on ✨
I wanted to start something new here on the blog, so that we could get to know each other better. So I’m gonna make a little list of monthly intentions at the beginning of each month, and tell you what some of my intention/plans are for the upcoming month. Perhaps you can find some inspiration, or if you have some lovely intentions or plans, then please share them with me and then I can get inspired as well ✨🍂
Sit on nice cafés and work on finishing the very last of my book, so that I can hopefully get it out around October/November!
Business-inspiration meetings with my dear new friend Zoey
Drink tons of tea, cuddle up under a warm blanket and spend more time reading good books!
Drink warm drinks (cafe lattes, chai lattes, turmeric latte, matcha latte – all things latte) with dear friends or family, perhaps in combination with continuing my current knitting project (#novicesweater)
Vacation on Bornholm with my man. I can’t wait to get back to lovely Bornholm, see the beautiful nature, visit lovely cafés and shops and just have a week with full relaxation together with my love <3
Watch Female Invest webinars with my friend, so that we can start investing soon!
Do you know the feeling of setting big goals and dreams, but keep letting yourself down because you can’t stick to them? The key here is that small wins builds more self-confidence! 💕✨
“If you want to be responsible, keep your promises to others. If you want to be successful, keep your promises to yourself” – Marie Forleo
If you are like me, you are extremely good at keeping all your promises to others. You don’t like to disappoint people, so you always keep your promises to others – also if sometimes means not keeping the promises you’ve made to yourself.
Does that sound familiar?
But I have something important to tell you, of course we should stick to things we promise others – but it is just as important to stick to the things you promise yourself!
If you keep saying to yourself that “from now on I’m gonna do….” or “every day I’ll do …” – and then you keep NOT doing it, then guess what? You’re going to disappoint yourself more and more. You’ll keep letting yourself down. This will tear down your belief and trust in yourself, and your love for yourself.
And I know it can be the hardest thing sometimes to stick to the promises you’ve made with yourself, because then life comes around and you have too many things going on and then it’s easier to just stick to the obligations you have made to others, and then “skip” those you’ve made with yourself.
But the BEST thing you can do for yourself is to keep those promises you make to yourself! This will build your own trust and belief in yourself, it will boost your self-confidence and your self-love!
How do you do that successfully?
You start small. Like, really small. And I know this is so hard, because you’re probably really ambitious and have big dreams (I feel you, I’m the exact same – and I’m ALL about dreaming big and going after the big things). But if you fx want to implement a new habit, then instead of going from fx never practicing yoga, to saying “I want to practice yoga every day for 30 minutes!”, the goal is beautiful – but be realistic and start small and build yourself more and more up.
Start with saying that you want to fx practice yoga every morning for 5 minutes, or once a week for 30 minutes. Stick to this smaller habit for a while, and make it a successful experience for yourself
In that way you’ll feel empowered every time you accomplish that “smaller win”, and perhaps you’ll even start doing a longer practice now that you’re already at it – that’s just a win-win!
But my best advice would be to start small, and then build it up – and feel the self-love and your self-confidence boost along the way as you keep your promises to yourself! 💕✨
We all have so much information available to us today, so the problem isn’t lack of information, it’s lack of action 🌿✨
We all have so much information available to us today, and you can Google most things – but knowing doesn’t change your life. Taking action and really implementing the things you learn is what will change your life.
Knowing doesn’t change your life. Taking action and really implementing the things you learn is what will change your life
Most of us know what to do if we want to become healthier, or if we want to get better grades, or if we want to reach a certain fitness goal etc. And if we don’t know it, it’s so easy to gain that kind of information today just by googling, or searching for it on youtube and within few seconds you can get 10 articles or a 20-minute-full-length video explaining you all you need to do to reach XYZ.
Your problem isn’t lack of information – it’s lack of action.
This is a harsh truth to face, because ‘lack of information’ means that you do not have the knowledge to know what you need to do in order to change your current situation. Whereas ‘lack of action’ means that you have not stepped fully into taking ownership over your own situation and taken the necessary action-steps to change it.
But changing your everyday actions can be hard, because we are a very habitual species. What we do on a daily basis is what we’ve learned when we grew up and changing your small autopilot actions can be very difficult.
This is what I’m so passionate about! Finding ways to change and improve your life. Finding small habits you can implement and really make part of your everyday life that will change your life in the long-run.
This is why I’m studying to become a Holistic Health Coach, so that I can help YOU turn your life around by changing your existing habits and implementing new, more empowering ones. I’m now over halfway in my coaching practice and can start to work 1:1 with clients. Working with a coach can help give you simple, effective strategies, as well as give you support and keep you accountable to yourself.
I’ve just announced a competition on my Instagram, where I’ll pick 2 winners who will win a 6-month Holistic Health Transformation Program with me! So if you want the change to win this, then go to my Instagram and participate before May 8, 10.00 AM (CEST)! 🌿✨
While we’re in these strange times of isolation and quarantine, many of us might find ourselves getting bored or feeling restless. But there are plenty of things you can do, and therefore I want to share 15 things to do at home. Just for pure inspiration if you need some ✨
15 Things To Do at Home
Tidy up & Organise your Home Spring is here, and there’s really no better time than now to do a proper Spring Cleaning! So why not Marie-Kondo your entire home, and get rid of the things that no longer brings you joy, clean your space and rearrange your furniture’s? I’ve already started and I’m already feeling better and better for every room I get cleaned and organised.
Paint You could paint a picture, or you can paint a wall! I just ordered some painting in a beautiful nude colour the other day and this coming week I’ll be painting one of the walls in my living room to spice up the interior a bit. I’m also thinking about painting some pictures for the wall as well.
Go for Walks (if allowed) Depending on where you live in the world, I know that the may or may not be a possibility at the moment. For those of you who live in countries where this is still fully allowed – get out and get some fresh air, move your body and be extremely grateful for the ‘simple’ thing we used to take for granted such as going for walks outside, because this simple thing has been limited for people around the globe. I know that I’ll never take this simple act for granted ever again
Try out a new Recipe Why not try out some delicious new recipes? It could be a lovely desert, snack or a delicious dinner recipe that you’ve been wanting to try forever but never really found the time to try out – now is the perfect time!
Read Books Of course this has to be on the list, one of my absolute favourite activities – reading! If you need some book inspiration, then just search for ‘book’ at my blog and you’ll find tons of recommendations.
Make a Home Spa Day We have more time at home, why not make a Home Spa day (or days?). Make a footbath, put on a facemask, dry brush your body, use your gua sha and give yourself a face massage. Make your own body butter, or put on a hair mask. Take time for yourself and take good care of yourself during these times
Write Letters to Your Friends and Family I got a letter the other day, an actual letter from one of my best friends and it was the best thing ever! I mean, how often do we get actual letters these days? Not that often anymore. Let those around you know that you love them and think about them by writing them a letter
Tea & FaceTime Netflix & Chill might still be a thing, but the newest trend is “Tea & FaceTime”. Make yourself a cup of tea and make a FaceTime date with your best friends, or your family members, and just sit and talk and connect and have a good time. I’ve said it so many times during this lockdown that how fortunate are we to live in a time where we need to ‘social distance’ ourselves, but we have the technology to be able to connect all the time if we want to
Start an At-Home-Workout Routine Again, thank you technology! When we can’t go to the gym, yoga study or wherever we usually go to, we’re so lucky that there are thousands of workout videos to find on Youtube or Instagram. You can find long Yoga session videos, or 20 minutes hard-core ab workout routines. So why not get into a good routine of moving your body!
Make a Visionboard Use this time at home to dream and make yourself a vision board! You can either make a physical one, or you can create a vision board on Pinterest. Just find pictures of how you want to feel and be, and what you want to do! Seeing your dreams in visuals is one of the best things ever, and can really life your mood!
Journal about Your Thoughts – or Talk to a Friend I know these times can be very anxious, and I’ve for sure felt that as well. You think about the state of the world, the economy, your job situation, you and your family’s health. There’s so much to think about and it’s easy to get caught up in worry and anxiety in these times. Know that there’s absolutely nothing wrong in feeling this way, and you should allow your emotions to be there and feel them – but a good suggestion is to get your fears and worries out of your head. Write them down in a journal, or call a friend and talk about things. Often times, all the things we build up in our heads aren’t as bad, when we just get them out of there
Watch Good Movies Relax and rest, and put on a good movie. I mean Disney or Harry Potter marathon is completely allowed, so go for it! Make yourself a cup of tea, cuddle up under your duvet and just relax and enjoy it.
Make a Puzzle Whether you’re an adult or have kids, making puzzles is the perfect activity! It’s such a relaxing and cozy activity to spend time on
Play Games Right alongside with playing a puzzle, if you have some games at home, then why not play those. Yatzy, Bagammon, Ludo, Uno etc.
What have you been doing during this quarantine? What has been your favourite way to spend your time? And what have you learned to appreciate even more because of this current situation? ✨
We cannot change other people. The only person you can change is yourself. But by showing others that you can change, you show them the opportunities they have at hand as well 🌱✨
It can often feel frustrating when you see your dear ones doing things that doesn’t do them any good, and you want to help them change their habits so they can feel better. It could be a parent smoking, seeing someone in deep debt, or seeing someone eating lots of junk and not taking care of their health. Often we want to help our dear ones to make them feel better, but know this – you cannot help a person who does not want to be helped. So we cannot change other people, as frustrating as that is. But what we can do, is showing others the possibilities they have at hand, by doing the work ourselves.
And funnily enough, very often, the things we see in others, are mirrors of things we have in ourselves. So do the work. Focus on yourself. Once people see you have done something, this will inspire them way more, than you telling them to try this and that or stop doing something.
Be patient. You might not change someones life from one day to the next, just by showing them what’s possible. But never underestimate the power of planting a seed 🌱✨
“If you wanna make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and then make a change” – Michael Jackson
Today I want to share with you what I read in 2019 & what’s on my reading list for 2020. I hope this post can give you some book inspiration ✨📖
If you are like me – then you love books! I’m always on the hunt for another great book to read. I love all kinds of books, but especially within the self-development & holistic health genre. So if you are into the same, then you might find some inspiration in this post.
Last year I sat a goal for myself to read 20+ books, and I managed to do so! I read 21 books, and I absolutely love how much I have learned & I just love to keep expanding my mind and worldview.
What I read in 2019: – “Rise Sister Rise” – Rebecca Campbell – “Idiot’s Guide to Ayurveda” – Sahara Rose – “Shine” – Andy Cope & Gavin Oattes – “The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success” – Deepak Chopra – “Money and the Law of Attraction” – Esther & Jerry Hicks – “Think & Grow Rich” – Napoleon Hill – “Gut” – Giulia Enders – “Intelligent Cells” – Bruce Lipton – “Brain Maker” – David Perlmutter – “The Beauty of Dirty Skin” – Whitney Bowe – “Creating Affluence” – Deepak Chopra – “Creative Visualization” – Shakti Gawain – “Atomic Habits” – James Clear – “Holistic Dental Care” – Nadine Artemis – “Eat that Frog!” – Brian Tracy – “The Magic of Thinking Big” – David J. Schwartz – “Light is the New Black” – Rebecca Campbell – “The War of Art” – Steven Pressfield – “The Seat of the Soul” – Gary Zukav – “You are a Badass at Making Money” – Jen Sincero – “Find Gaven i Dine Forældres Skilsmisse” – Ida Golriz
I loved all the books, but the ones that really had a big impact on me was “The Magic of Thinking Big“, “Brain Maker” and “The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success“. I would also highly recommend my dear friend Idas book “Find Gaven i Dine Forældres Skilsmisse” if your parents are going through a divorce, or if you are a parent going through a divorce.
Now on to the next topic – what I then want to read in 2020. I have sat the same goal for myself this year, that I want to read 20+ books, and I already have a lot of great ones on my hand, waiting to be explored.
What I want to read in 2020: – “Awaken the Giant Within” – Tony Robbins – “Energy Medicine” Jill Blakeway – “The Tapping Solution” – Nick Ortner – “Kaizen” – Robert Maurer – “Bevidsthedens Udstråling” – Frank Lorenzen – “Super Attractor” – Gabrielle Bernstein – “Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself” – Joe Dispenza – “The Code of the Extraordinary Mind” – Vishen Lakhiami – “Wishes Fulfilled” – Wayne W. Dyer
But as I said, I’m always open for new books, and my 2020 list haven’t reached 20 books yet, so if you have any good recommendations, please share them with me in the comments! I would also love to know what’s on your reading list for 2020? Lots of love x ✨📖
If you want something in your life, know that what you water will grow. It might not come from one day to the next, but consistent, continuous action will make the plant grow 🌱✨
The seed you water and takes care of, is the seed that will grow into a plant. Water the things you want to see grow in your life. Do you want more things to be grateful for? Start by looking at the things you already have in your life, and be grateful for that. If you want to get better at anything specific – give it your attention and do the work.
The concept of what you water will grow also goes the opposite way. If you keep on complaining about things, you will continue to find things to complain about and you’ll get stuck in a rut.
Be clear with yourself about what you want and what you don’t want in your life. Once you know this, you can start to give attention and water the things you want to see grow and flourish 🌱✨
Question for you: So what are you going to water this year? Love, happiness, a specific project? Go give it all your attention and eventually you will watch it grow ✨
Do you want to get ready for 2020? Grab your journal and a blanket, light a candle and make yourself a warm cup of tea and get ready to do some reflections for the past year, and visualise your 2020 🙌✨
2020 is approaching soon, and I can feel it’s going to be a BIG year! Last year I began the year with reflecting on the past year, sat goals for the upcoming year and sat some minor goals for each quarter in the year to help me reach my goals.
I’ve reached almost ALL of my goals I sat for myself for 2019. So I’m going to do the exact same thing this year! This year I’ve started doing accountability coaching together with my dad, where we set goals in different areas of our lives and create small tasks for ourselves to do in order to accomplish our goals. Then we meet up, write to each other and keep each others accountable and help each other reach our goals. As we are already doing this, we decided to sit down together this year and do this little reflection exercise and set goals for 2020, so we can help each other reach those goals.
In order to reach what you want – you need to evaluate your current life. What do you like about where you are at? What don’t you like? Reflect back on the past year, as well as visualise your future – 1 year from now, 5 years from now. Where do you want to be?
Remember, once you have set your bigger goals for 2020, then it’s important to break them down into smaller actionable steps. You can write “finish this project” on your bigger goal list for the year, but to make it more manageable and easy to get started on, you need to break it down into smaller steps that you can easily start on. Fx if your goal for 2020 is to write a book, then your smaller steps could be: – brainstorm content for the book – do research for XYZ – write paragraph 1 in chapter 1 – write paragraph 2 in chapter 1 – read through and edit By breaking your big goal down into smaller steps, it feels much easier to begin the projects.
Here are some reflection questions to prepare you for 2020 ✨
– What were the best things about this year?
– What has life taught your this year?
– What don’t you want to take with you into 2020?
– What do you want to take with you into 2020?
– Where do you see yourself in 1 year?
– Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
– What do you want to accomplish in 2020?
– What will it take for you to reach those goals? What do you have to do to get there?
Question for you: Are you ready for 2020? What are some of your goals? I would love to know! Let’s root on each other, support each other and help and encourage each other to reach our dreams! 🙌✨
